Especial forms a limited series showcasing spirits produced from rare and wild agaves. Sourced from batches too small to be considered for mezcal certification, these spirits represent traditional subsistence mezcalero culture. Each batch is unique and un-repeatable.

 

PA1 comes from Felipe and Ageo Cortes - a father son team who distil in a refrescador still - a type of water cooled alembic allowing for clean and precise distillation. Their Tepextate is an umami bomb with notes of green pepper, fresh corriander, Jalepeno and seaweed. A clean and fresh palate with a long and constantly evolving finish. It's a phenomenal spirit, one to expand your understanding of what a mezcal can be.
